Emerging Medallion

I've seen a lot of cards using a technique called Emerging Colour lately, so I thought I'd have a go.  I was particularly inspired by this card by Marelle Taylor, to the point where I used the same stamps and similar colouring!

Emerging Colour is a simple technique, but it does have a lot of steps to it.
  • Stamp the image you want to emerge (I used Very Vintage in Ballet Blue)
  • Using Versamark, stamp the image that you want the previous image to emerge through (I used Medallion)
  • Use clear embossing powder to emboss the second image
  • Use a brayer and the same or darker ink (I used Not Quite Navy) to cover the entire panel - this will cover the remainder of the first image, but will not stick to the embossing
  • Use a tissue or paper towel to rub off the remaining ink from the embossed image
  • Finish off your card!

Materials:
Stamp sets - Medallion, Very Vintage wheel
Cardstock - Confetti White
Inks - Not Quite Navy, Ballet Blue, Versamark
Accessories - Very Vanilla ribbon, matching button, brayer, clear embossing powder, heat tool
