RCC55 - Pinterest Inspiration

I'm back with a quick card share for the Ribbon Carousel Inspiration Challenge.

From this gorgeous inspiration picture, I somehow ended up with a very, very simple card that is nothing like what I had planned!  I guess that's what challenges are all about though, aren't they.  Giving you a starting point.  :-)

The sentiment is from Monster Madness by The Alley Way Stamps, and the Dark Brown Hemp Cord is from the Ribbon Carousel.

Thanks for visiting!  :-)

Prismacolor Pencils on Kraft - A Video For AnnaBelle Stamps

Hello!  I'm back with an AnnaBelle Stamps video tutorial for Topical Tuesdays in the Stamp Embellish Create forum.  If you haven't been before, Stamp Embellish Create is a free online paper crafting community and it's well worth the visit!

Today I'm looking at colouring on Kraft card stock with Prismacolor Pencils.  I love the Kraft card stock from AnnaBelle Stamps because it has the perfect texture for laying down colour and blending.  For my card I used Squared Posies and Love Birds for the sentiment.  How could I not use this sentiment for a sunflower?!

Here's the video... but I'd LOVE you to go and see it HERE on Stamp Embellish Create!

Thanks for visiting!  :-)

Romantic Gwen - ISSC17 and Guest DT at The Stamp Spot

Hello!  Today I'm combining my iSpy Sketches post with my Guest DT Spot at The Stamp Spot!  I'm thrilled that Michelle invited me to do a guest spot on The Stamp Spot, and she's the perfect person to enable my developing obsession with Some Odd Girl stamps.  Aren't they cute?

For my card today I used Prismacolor Pencils to colour Romantic Gwen and then I fussy cut her out.  The patterned card stock behind her is some Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock.  If you haven't used Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock before, it really is so easy to get brilliant effects.  I used some fine sandpaper to sand back the pattern - it's important to note that different grades of sandpaper give different results. They're just as pretty, but different nonetheless!

I paired Romantic Gwen with a sentiment from the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler.  Even though they're different companies, I think they're a great fit!  What do you think?

This week's iSpy Sketches Challenge sketch is based on this card from Amy Rhol.

Head to the iSpy Sketches Challenge blog to see the beautiful work from the DT, and to The Stamp Spot too!

Something A Little Bit Different - ABSC050

I can't believe it's Friday again!  That means it's time for another AnnaBelle Stamps Challenge...

I decided to try something a little different this week.  I mentioned in my last AnnaBelle Stamps post that I loved using my Prismacolor Pencils on the AnnaBelle Stamps Kraft card stock.  So this week I decided to do some more colouring on kraft, but with a slightly more rough feel to it, if that makes sense!  So the colours aren't blended as smoothly as I would do normally, but I think I quite like the effect...

The gorgeous flower is from Whimsy Flowers, which I just got in the post yesterday!  Love happy mail!  And the sentiment is from Fanciful Flowers.

How Loved You Are - ISSC16

Hello!  I'm back to share my card for the current iSpy Sketches Challenge - ISSC16.

I've been itching to use this Little Star Plain Jane from Verve Stamps, and a wonderful friend recently had a baby, so it was the perfect opportunity!

I used Distress Inks to colour all the panels, and the background stamp is a retired one from Stampin' Up.  I also used some 1.5" White Net Ribbon and Denim Blue Twine from the Ribbon Carousel to finish off my card.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  :-)

This week's sketch is based on this card from Dyane Fogleboch.

Please head to the iSpy Sketches Challenge blog to see the fabulous work from the DT.

Say It In... Lime & Orange - AC073

Today at the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog we're Saying It In... Lime & Orange.  I used my Prismacolor Pencils on Kraft card stock to colour the gorgeous Lil Monster's Balloon.  Isn't he adorable?  The Kraft card stock from AnnaBelle Stamps is AWESOME for Prismacolor Pencils.  It has the perfect degree of roughness to let you lay down the colour beautifully.  LOVE it.  And I didn't need to use any blending medium!

There's a sneak peek of something to come to AnnaBelle Stamps in June... can you guess?

A matching die for Lil Monster's Balloon!  And the stamp is SO easy to line up with the die cut.  Perfect! There are more dies and new stamps coming as well.  So keep your eye out, there'll be a giveaway!

This week Andrea is giving away Lil Monster's Balloon, and she'll send him anywhere so be sure to play along!

Make sure you check out the gorgeous DT creations on the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog!

One For My Stash - ISSC15

Are you ready for another iSpy Sketches Challenge?  This week I've gone stamp-less!  My daughter started school this year and with kids birthdays all the time, I thought I'd make a card for my stash so we're ready for the next one.  I think the sketch works really well for it.

I cut the main panel from some Happy Day 6x6 Paper Pad patterned paper from the Ribbon Carousel, and backed it in dark brown card.  I cut the 5 from the dark brown card too, and coated it in glossy accents.  And I finished it off with some Dark Brown Hemp Cord also from the Ribbon Carousel.

This week's sketch is based on this beautiful card from Leanne.

Head to the iSpy Sketches Challenge blog to see the beautiful work from the DT.  There are some stunning interpretations of this week's sketch!
