Friday Feature Blog Hop - New Release!

Hello!  Welcome to another AnnaBelle Stamps Friday Feature!  You should have just visited Therese's beautiful blog.  This week we're blog hopping with FOUR new releases - two stamp sets and two die sets.  You're going to LOVE them!

First off, let's have a look at the new goodies...

Easter Blessings - 6" x 4"

Easter Chickadee - 3" x 4"

CBD005 - Easter Chickadee
(matching die set)

CBD006 - Designer Flowers
(this matches Designer Flowers that was released last month)

When I saw the Easter Chickadee and the matching CBD005 Easter Chickadee sets, I immediately wanted to create a card using a negative die cut of one of those cute little chicks.

It might look a little plain, but I wanted to play around with sponging inside the die cut to add extra dimension, and I decided I wanted that to be the main focus.  I really like the effect - what do you think?

I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #15 for my layout.

And of course we need a great deal on the new sets!

For this weekend ONLY!
Purchase the February Combo Deal of - Easter Blessings, Easter Chickadee and CBD005 - Easter Chickadee and save 20%!

Valentine's Hop and a New Unity {be inspired} Challenge

Hello!  Welcome to the Unity Valentine's Hop!  Have you checked out the Unity blog?  There's been LOTS going on behind the scenes, and the blog has had a gorgeous make-over.  AND we have a new Unity Challenge!

What I love about the new challenge is that it's all about getting inspired.  There's a colour combo and two sketches to get you going.  I started off with the colour challenge and the card sketch, but the colours didn't end up being what I'd envisioned.  BUT, that's the whole point of the process, right?

I used the January Kit Of The Month, All Hearts and Love {KOM 1/13} again (I posted another Valentine's card using it yesterday).  I'm completely in love with the sentiments in this kit!

Here's the Hop list - make sure you leave a comment on each blog to have a chance to win some gorgeous Unity stamps.

You Make My Heart Skip A Beat

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a project I made for Unity using the January Kit Of The Month, All Hearts and Love {KOM 1/13} to make a Valentine's Day card for my husband.

I always want to add ribbon to love cards, but I wanted to avoid that for this particular card - hubby doesn't share my love of ribbon. ;-)

So I've added a splash of colour using segments of a Couture Creations doily I cut with my Big Shot.  I know, doilies aren't exactly masculine! But I think it's a good compromise. :-)

I embossed the heartbeat image with Wow Embossing Powder.  It was quite easy to mask off the sections so I could get the heart in red and the rest in black.

And how could I not use this sentiment with it?!

Thanks for stopping by!

Just A Note - AC156

It's a gorgeous colour challenge today at the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog!

For my card, I chose a sentiment from Fanciful Flowers, and the focal point was created with die cuts using Cuts By Design - Borders 1.

I added some Pumpkin Satin Ribbon and Waterfall Sprinkles to finish off my card.

For my layout, I used CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #14.

Head to the AnnaBelle Stamps blog to see the gorgeous DT work!

Going Places...

Hi!  I'm sharing some CAS cards I made for Unity with this month's SMAK Kit, Going Places.  There are SO many possibilities with this set, but I was immediately drawn to the sentiment "going places" and the plane image.

I love how this sentiment works for cards, but I can also see it being used brilliantly on a layout or canvas...

Seeing as I was already inked up for the cards above, I used the same combinations for some ultra-CAS cards...

I love how the font blends so beautifully with the shape of the plane!
