Happy Mail From Chupa!

Morning!

I just have to share what I received in my letterbox this morning from the extraordinarily talented Chupa (Iwona Palamountain)...

Am I a little star struck??  You betcha!  Chupa is the kindest person you'll ever come across, and she's an absolutely FABULOUS papercrafter too.  You might have seen some of her gorgeous work published in Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft recently.  Chupa's cards are all so beautiful - she creates the kinds of cards that I just can't seem to manage... and yes, I'm jealous!!

You can purchase Chupa's gorgeous cards from Aussie Cards For Sale.  If you haven't come across this site before, Aussie Cards For Sale is definitely worth a visit.  And yes, they post internationally.  You can also find Aussie Cards For Sale on facebook.

Hopefully I'll be back soon with something I've created.  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

CAS Cupcake

Hello!  I have a CAS card to share with you tonight.  It didn't end up at all how I imagined in my head, but I quite like it anyway.  It's nice when things just work out!

I used my Prismacolour pencils to colour this cute CC Designs image, but I'm not 100% happy with my blending.  Gives me an excuse to practice more... ;-)

I'm entering this in four challenges tonight.  It just worked out that these challenges complimented each other.  A happy accident!

A Few Challenges With Chester...

A few weeks ago I entered a blog candy competition from Hilde Larsen at her blog Tinderloo In Cyberspace, and I was one of the lucky winners!  So earlier this week I was excited to discover an envelope of goodies in my letterbox, including some gorgeous stamped motifs for me to colour - YAY!  And the first one I have to share with you is this Kraftin' Kimmie cutie called Chester.  :-)

I based my design on 3 different challenges that I wanted to enter (details below) to use stamps, ribbon and text.

I like how the word "fancy" fits so well next to Chester!  The paper itself was a bit too bold, so I added a layer of vellum over the top to soften it and draw more attention to Chester.

And here are the details of the challenges I'm entering:

Ribbon Carousel Challenge - RCC3 Clean It Up.  Like my last post, my card doesn't use as much "white space" as I intended, but I still think it's a fairly Clean and Simple card.  And yes, it's a mirror image of my previous layout!

I'm also entering the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie - Challenge #79 - *Text* Me!!  It's the first time I've played along at Kraftin' Kimmie, but I've been an admirer of the blog for a while now.

And the final challenge I'm entering is Wee Memories Challenge #57 to "Stamp It"!  I haven't played along with Wee Memories for a while, but it's another gorgeous challenge blog that's well worth a look.

Thanks for visiting, and a HUGE thankyou to Hilde Larsen for sending me some brilliant images to play with!

Materials:
Stamp sets - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Chester
Cardstock - White Cambric Linen, Basic Grey, Watercolour Paper, Newsprint DSP, Vellum
Inks - Going Grey, Blush Blossom, Not Quite Navy, Creamy Caramel
Accessories - Baja Breeze Seam Binding, dimensionals

I'm Back... With A Gorjuss Ruby...

It's been a while since I've posted anything I've created... in fact, it's been a while since I actually created anything!  It's been a topsy turvy month, but things are definitely brighter than they have been in a while.  :-)

Thankyou so much for continuing to visit my little blog.  It means more to me than you imagine.  :-)

Anyway, onto a card!  I got some beautiful new stamps recently from the Gorjuss range, and the first one I've coloured up is called Ruby.  Isn't she adorable?

And yes, I'm still completely in love with Seam Binding...

I coloured her using my Prismacolour pencils.  Love those babies!

I'm entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Challenge - RCC3 Clean It Up.  My card doesn't use as much "white space" as I intended for this challenge, but I still think it's a fairly Clean and Simple card.  I hope the talented DT at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog agree!

Well, I'm off to to colour up another of these gorgeous images.  Thanks for visiting!

Materials:
Stamp sets - Gorjuss - Ruby
Cardstock - White Cambric Linen, K&Company patterned paper, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy
Inks - Black Ranger Ink, Prismacolour pencils
Accessories - Navy Seam Binding, dimensionals, OMS, blending stumps

May 27 - Edited to add:

Woot!  I'm one of the Top Spools at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog for this card!  Thanks so much!
