The Alley Way Stamps August Blog Hop!

It's Blog Hop time with The Alley Way Stamps! Today we're giving our final sneak peeks of the new sets being released tomorrow! And one person is going to win all 3 new sets! Here's how...
  1. Comment on The Alley Way Stamps Blog
  2. Comment on the DT girls blogs (list below)
  3. Post about it on facebook or your blog
  4. Like us on Facebook
(you can pick and choose which ones you want to do.. but the more you comment the better chance you have to win) You have until July 31st to leave comments.

And here's my card.  I've used Admit One to make my card for today's hop, and I'm so thrilled with how it turned out!  I used Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock for the tickets, and I used a Canary Yellow Prismacolor Pencil to colour the stars. The line down the side of each ticket is my favourite though, that's just using a Versamark Pen!  I love how it gives the perfect slightly darker shade of each colour, and there's no extra fussy cutting!  Gotta love that!

I hope you've enjoyed my stop on the hop!

Here are the DT blogs to visit...

The next stop on the hop is Jingle!

I'm also entering the Simon Says Anything Goes challenge.

Party Animal - A TAWS Sneak Peek!

Not long until the new TAWS (The Alley Way Stamps) stamp sets are released!  Today, I have a sneak peek of Party Animal!  How cute is the lion in this set?!  With that adorable expression, I just had to put "party animal" for my sentiment!  ;-)

I also used Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock in Candy Corn and 3/4" Yellow V Striped Twill from the Ribbon Carousel.

I used the RetroSketches Challenge #22 for my layout, and I'm also entering Simon Says Anything Goes...

Thanks for visiting!

More Christmas Scene Baubles - ISSC26

I was so pleased with the effect of the card in my previous post, that I decided to make a matching card for today's iSpy Sketches Challenge.

Again, I've used Christmas Scene Baubles, and I used the same masking technique to create the illusion of the positions of the baubles.

I'm quite pleased with it.  This week's sketch is based on is this card from one of my favourite crafters, Therese Calvird.

Head to the iSpy Sketches Challenge blog to see the beautiful work from the DT.

Say It With A Sketch - ABSC052

Time for a sketch with the AnnaBelle Stamps Challenge ABSC052.  It's a fabulously simple sketch and I couldn't resist keeping it simple with a one layer card.

The set I've used today is Christmas Scene Baubles, and it's the set that's up for grabs this week!

I stamped the centre bauble and masked it off to stamp the baubles either side, giving the appearance of the centre bauble being in front of the other two.  It's a simple trick, but can have wonderful results.

Make sure you check out the gorgeous DT creations on the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog!

RCC63 - Pinterest Persuasion

I'm back!  :-)

This week at the Ribbon Carousel, we have a photo inspiration for our challenge, courtesy of the always delightful Suzanne Dahlberg...

I used the Enjoy Today Plain Jane from Verve Stamps for my image and backed it with some 1.5" Champagne Net Ribbon.  I wanted the image to be the focal point, and the net ribbon really does a lovely job of being subtle while still being interesting!

TAWS Be Inspired #7 - you are my sunshine

Time for another TAWS Be Inspired Challenge!  The idea of the TAWS Be Inspired Challenges is to look at the photo and BE Inspired... Perhaps by the colours?  The shapes?  The theme?  Whatever inspires you when you look at this photo... remember to let us know how you were inspired too.  You must use one of the Alley Way Stamps but don't worry if you don't have any, you can find the freebies here.  Head to the TAWS blog to get all the details (including prizes!).

I loved the colours and the placement, so I pretty much recreated that!  I used Alphabet Soup to create my sentiment, and I heat embossed it on vellum.  The strips of paper are from a coordinating Crate Paper kit.  I cut them randomly on my guillotine then used some double sided adhesive paper to place them together.  Then I trimmed the panel I wanted to use.

Make sure you visit our fabulous DT!  Just click a picture to be taken to their blog. :-)
