Rain, Snow, Shine

I have a few final holiday cards to share tonight.  I say holiday cards rather than Christmas cards because I used stamps and papers that aren't specifically designed for Christmas.  I used the Rain Snow Shine stamp set by The Greeting Farm, and Echo Park Times & Seasons Patterned Paper, both from Craft-A-Lot.  And I used the gorgeous 5/8" Ivory Cotton Twill Ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel to tie a sumptuous bow on each card.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

Masking Film - X-Press IT Mask Film

Hi there!

When I did my first video tutorial, I used a masking film when I was doing the background.  I had a lot of emails and comments about it and whether I could link up where to find it.  I'm thrilled to say that the masking film I used, X-PressIT Mask It Film, is now available to purchase from Craft-A-Lot!

I've added it to my supply list for that post, and I'm also working on a few videos specifically on using X-PressIT Mask It Film.  Stay tuned!!

Noel - From Start To Finish

Hello!  I have another video to share today, using some products from Craft-A-Lot and Sew Sweet.  I've linked up the products at the bottom of the post, but I want to point out 3 in particular - Webster's Pages Holiday Silhouettes and Webster's Pages - A Botanical Christmas - Winter Fairy Tales, both available from Craft-A-Lot, and 5/8" Ivory Plain Twill Ribbon from Sew Sweet.

Just a little heads up - I played around with speeding up the footage for this video in the hopes that I could make the whole thing more concise... but I think I went a little overboard!!  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I really wasn't sure how I wanted to use the Webster's Pages Holiday Silhouettes when I first got them, but I have to say that I really like the result.

And the same card design, but using a different cameo...

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A few Christmas cards to share with you, all using  patterned paper from Webster's Pages - A Botanical Christmas - Winter Fairy Tales, available from Craft-A-Lot.  This first one also uses Old Gold Satin Ribbon from Sew Sweet.

The next one was inspired by this gorgeous card by Alison Spellman.

And continuing on with negative die-cutting...

I love this Chocolate Brown Button Twine from Sew Sweet!

I cut out the sentiments with the Silhouette using some words I welded together.  To download these sentiments, click HERE.

I'm entering the last into the Young Crafter's Unite Challenge #4.

RCC33 - Tangled Twine!

It's time for another Ribbon Carousel Challenge!  This week the challenge is to add twine to your project.  :-)  I've used some gorgeous Olive Jute/Twine and some 5/8" Natural Crochet Ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel.

And here are the challenge details...

This week we're being sponsored by Whisker Graphics Divine Twine.  One lucky random participant will win their choice of 2 spools of twine!  AND this challenge will run for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to enter.

Here are a few close-ups of my card for this week.

I've used a Gorjuss stamp from Craft-A-Lot called The Bear and I teamed it with some patterned paper from Webster's Pages - A Botanical Christmas - Winter Fairy Tales.

I'm entering a few other challenges as well... :-)

Thanks for stopping by!

Tying A Bow With Wide Ribbon - Another Video!

Hi!  I got a lovely email this week asking how I tied the bow for this card that I did for Christmas last year.  I've been asked about tying bows a few times before, so I thought it was about time I showed how I do it!

I used the May Arts 1.5" Black/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel for this video.  :-)

This tutorial will also appear on the Ribbon Carousel Blog - make sure you visit to check out the other fabulous tutorials!

Butterfly Birthday

You've most likely seen some fabulous negative die-cut cards on the net, like this butterfly one and this heart one.  These two beauties were the inspiration for the card I'm sharing tonight.  I used some gorgeous new paper from Craft-A-LotAuthentique Free Bird Series Endless & Fair Weather 6x6 Paper Pad.

I'm entering this into the Simon Says... Anything Goes challenge and the Young Crafter's Unite Challenge #4.

Peace

Just in time!  This is a card for the sketch challenge over at The CLASSroom - Ellen Huston's blog.  I started this yesterday, got the panel of papers down and then stared at it for an hour or so!  It was a race to beat the linky closing when I suddenly got inspired 20 minutes ago.

The papers are from The 12 Days of Christmas by My Mind's Eye, available from Craft-A-Lot.  I love the funky colours in this range!  The ribbon is some more of the delectable satin ribbon from Sew Sweet.

Here's the sketch from The CLASSroom:

And my card strangely fits the colour challenge at The CLASSroom too!

I'm also entering these challenges:

And a BIG thank you to everyone who left me lovely comments on my post yesterday.  I'm thrilled with the response to my first video tutorial!  :-)
