Custom Owls

A friend put in a custom order recently for a naming day card that was a bit more general in design than your regular naming day type card.  I really like how they came out, so I thought I'd share them here too.  I made two slightly different owls, but couldn't decide which I liked better, so I made two cards... she bought them both!  :-)

It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but the little hearts are Cherry Cobbler with Crystal Effects on top.

Thanks for visiting!  :-)

Stamp sets - Embrace Life
Cardstock - White Cambric Linen, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Parisian Breeze DSP

Curtain Call Color Challenge {Act 65}

It's time for another Curtain Call Colour Challenge!  I'm having a ball as Guest Designer this month.  But, I'm not really a bright-colours kinda girl, so this week's challenge was an interesting one for me.  :-)

This card is SO much brighter than my usual ones, but I really enjoyed using the colours.  I'm especially loving sponging using Nestabilities at the moment.  If you're interested in seeing how it's done, check out this tutorial on Paper Possibilities.

The Curtain Call Crew have samples to show you today, too, so make sure you stop by to see:
