Art Journal - Sandy Sunshine

It's the end of the second week of Art Journaling at Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm, and I really struggled with this week's theme!  The theme was Sandy Sunshine, and I am SO not a summery, beachy kind of person!  Salt water making your skin all icky, sunburn, and sand in all the wrong places... *shudder*

So I decided to try and think of summer as a pleasant time, saying "think warm thoughts, think warm thoughts" to myself... and low and behold, there was the sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler just beckoning to be used.  :-)

As you can see, it's pretty much CAS again, but I'm happy with it.  :-)

I'm also entering this in Paper Sundaes Challenge #80 - Clouds and Skies.  I really didn't think I'd have anything to submit for this challenge, so it's a pleasant surprise to be able to enter!

Materials:
Stamp sets - Sentiment Sampler (Paper Smooches)
Cardstock - October Afternoon patterned paper, SU! DSP, Summer Sun
Inks - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Nestibilities, Big Shot, dimensionals, PTI Victorian Lace border die, sewing machine

  2. I am soooo not a beach person either. Too much sun and sand for my liking! Your project is gorgeous, very summery and warm. I feel like wrapping myself in the paper to try to warm up!
