JAI47 - A Tricky Colour Combo

I found this week's Just Add Ink Colour Challenge really tough.  It was the Tempting Turquoise that threw me.  No matter what I tried, it just looked out of place.  So what I've ended up with is nothing like what I was going for...

Yep, another CAS card.  I commented to my hubby recently that if I keep it up with so many CAS cards, how long until I start photographing plain cardstock??  ;-)

Materials:
Stamp sets - Awash With Flowers
Cardstock - Naturals Ivory, Tempting Turquoise, Watercolour paper
Inks - Black Stazon, Riding Hood Red, Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey
Accessories - Daffodil Delight satin ribbon, red twine, Aqua painter, dimensionals

  1. This is a stunning card DD! Love the ribbon treatment too! I would never have thought to keep it mostly plain and just use a splash of the colours, it's perfect :) I found them all a bit overwhelming together. lol

  3. Oh, but you do these CAS cards so well! I know what you mean about the Turquiose, that was throwing me too, but I love how you solved it by using the colour as a frame - very clever!

  5. Beautiful colouring and very clever to stick with a fairly plain canvas and concentrate your colours in one spot - looks a tricky combo.

  7. The bright splash of colour looks wonderful against the neutral background. Your ribbon as usual is something special :)
