Rock 'n' Roll, Baby! Another Helping Hudson Challenge...

Here it is, Helping Hudson Challenge Number 3!  This challenge was to use the Rock 'n' Roll Technique.  Basically, it's where you use two colours to colour your stamp.  First you ink your stamp with the lighter colour. Then you ink the edges of the stamp with the darker colour by gently rolling the edge around the inkpad.

I haven't strictly stuck to having a lighter and darker ink... And I couldn't decide on a colour combination so I did three!!  They're little gift cards using two of this season's hostess sets - Autumn Flair (level 2) and Best Yet (level 1).  And I just had to use mostly retiring colours too.  :-)

First up we have Sage Shadow and Baja Breeze... *sob*  I'll miss you Sage Shadow!  Our love affair had only just begun!!  I think they look really pretty together...

Next up it's the very cheery Summer Sun and Ruby Red.  Makes me wanna smile.  :-)

And lastly, it's a very vibrant combo of Ballet Blue and Taken With Teal.  *sigh*  I can't believe they're going...

And that's it from me!  Make sure you check out Helping Hudson, it's a really great cause, with some awesome tutorials available (even one from little old me!).  And you can help spread the work by liking their facebook page and suggesting it to everyone you know.  :-)

Thankyou, and goodnight...

  1. What cute cards, Danielle! Love the colours you've used. Don't worry, you'll be able to develop new love affairs come September. (With colours, that is.)
